Stop Looking at Me
Jessica Saltzer

Stop looking at me
Stop
Looking at me
I know you can see right through to my soul
I feel it, right now
Your thoughts of my thoughts
"What is she talking about?"
You and you
Stop listening to me
I am talking to you!
You can hear my voice
But you can't hear my words
They are secrets
Maybe lies
Dirty
Rotten
My sentances send you through a maze
You and the evergreen topiaries stare at each other
Glancing harder
And harder
And longer and...

Lost?
In my maze of words
I told you stop looking at me
Stop looking at me and open your eyes

I promise I am not a liar
I don't promise that I am not a poet
I swear it may or may not be true
The truth?
I can't decide
But I would rather see you think
See you sweat
See you for you and you
Only you
Dream and
Think
And talk
And sing of me
Of you in my poetry
In my maze
In my earth
In my heart I'm screaming
My pen won't tell you the truth
So I lie here

Ink Splotched Hand
Paper Death
Lies! Screams!
Death

STOP
LOOKING AT ME!

Talk to me
Tell me how
What you think of this...
What do you need from this...
What kind of joke is this?
I stand
I stand and sway
Like the clouds the other day
In front of you
Above you
In your plain sight
And you look at me
Expecting
And what if I expect?
Now in my words lie lies of expectancy
nonsense?!

No sense at all

But truth
That I promise you is true
That I swear I write this and to you

Stop listening to me
Look at me
Look at me
I am here
Right here
And here in your hearts and
Heads of yours
I will disappear
But here
On this earth
On this cloud
I am hear
And here am I on
This page hear
Here I am
Hear is my signature

You can look now
